1961 Tonka No. 39 Allied Moving Van Truck In Original Box

1961 Tonka No. 39 Allied Moving Van Truck In Original Box

This incredible example of Tonka's popular Allied Moving Van Lines Truck was a recent attic find. It was never played with. In fact I was in attendance at the mid-western held auction when the sealed box was opened for the first time. It's complete with original insert. There was no "Look-Book" inside the box when it was opened.

This truck is all pressed steel. It features a detachable cab with transparent plastic windshield, chrome plate grille with plastic head lights, black painted wrap around front bumper, 1-wide and 2-narrow horizontal hood lines, double rear opening doors, and 10 solid black rubber tires with metal centers (4 tandems and 1 pair up front) plus a fixed pair of rubber parking wheels.

It has black with white-outlined Allied decals, Flying Duck specialist decals on both sides, another Allied decal on the rear and front of the van,, and D.O.T. decals on both doors. Both original rear door handles are in place.

It comes with its original blue on white printed box with an illustration of the truck on every main panel and the Tonka Toys logo. One set of endflaps is still factory sealed. I also have all of the box staples that were removed from the opened endflap (not photographed). It also comes with it's original mark-down label which was taped to the box. The reverse side of this label shows that it's actually a bank check torn in half (see below).

Size: 25" assembled.
